Two PhD students join us this week, bring the total starting this academic year to four. The latest additions come from outside the United Kingdom.
Ilani Loubser comes from the North West University, South Africa, where she has just completed an MSc in Astrophysics. She will be working with Dr Anne Sansom on observational studies of Galactic Chemical Evolution.
Our second new arrival is Sotiris Adamakis, who has just finished an MSc in Applied Statistics at the University of Piraeus in Greece. He will be working with Drs Tony Morton-Jones and Robert Walsh on statistical studies of solar magnetic loops.
They join Angela MacDonald and Tom Bradley in forming our 2005-2006 cohort of PhD students.
