The Centre is pleased to welcome four new research students to the University. Coming from a range of backgrounds, they will be working on a variety of projects within our extra-galactic research programme. They join six existing research students within the Centre.
Following the completion of an MSci in Physics & Astrophysics at the University of Birmingham, Katie Harris has come to the Centre to work with Dr Roger Clowes. Her project is looking at the galaxies and cluster environments of quasars.
Markus Hartmann gained his Diplom Physiker from the University of Goetingen, with final year research in star cluster populations. He is now working with Dr Victor Debattista on nuclear star cluster evolution.
Elisa House comes to use from Queen Mary University, London, where she completed her MSci in Astrophysics. She is working with Professor Brad Gibson on chemodynamical properties of disk galaxies.
Also working with Professor Brad Gibson in the area of galactic chemical evolution is Gemma Hughes. Gemma came to us from the University of Leeds, where she gained an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics.
