Danielle Bewsher, one of the mathematics staff in the JHI, attended the IMA@50 event at the Royal Society on Wednesday 14th May to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications (IMA).
The event collected together a series of presentations highlighting the work of the Institute, and included talks on the past 50 years of the Institute and mathematics education over the past 50 years.
The event was attended by HRH Princess Anne, who is patron of the Institute for its 50th year. Danielle was fortunate to have been presented to HRH during the event.
Danielle currently sits on the IMA council and the North-West Branch committee. She also organises the annual IMA seminar hosted by UCLan in December.
