Centre for Astrophysics Research Discussions
Wednesdays 3—4 pm, Foster Building FB051
The CARD meeting has returned for 2008-2009. Please arrive promptly, and fill the Cinema seats near the front first!
Below are some guidelines for giving the CARD talks:
- The content of these sessions is meant to be flexible: some will give talks on a part of their own research while others may consider presenting a critical review other people's work. On the other hand, the session may consist of a whole CfA group discussion time on a certain topic.
- The talk/presentation/led-discussion should only last for 30 minutes, so there is plenty of time for questions and discussion. Speakers who are in danger of running over time will be asked to round up their talk.
- Foster FB051 (the Mitchell and Kenyon Cinema) has modern projector capabilities; if you have any equipment (or otherwise) concerns, please send an email to the CARD Coordinator (Gareth Few) at least a week before you are meant to be speaking so the equipment can be booked.
