Teaching:

1.      Network Design and Management (CO3509) – Final Year Module

·         This module builds on underlying communication networks principles and discusses emerging trends and technologies. A detailed understanding of current and evolving topics are applied and investigated. Network design, implementation, simulation and management is applied for a large scale secure computer network scenario. It considers alternative design processes that may be used and evaluates their performance in optimal network design.

·         Module looks into network simulation software and methodology by incorporating a case study to be simulated and analysed. Students are expected to analyse the given case study and produce a detailed network design. Then, they are expected to simulate and analyse a number of solutions using OPNET.

2.      Wired and Wireless Networks (CO4506) – MSc Module

·         This is a postgraduate module that focuses on advanced topics in networking and communications. Students are expected to simulate a number of network designs as part of the assessment using OPNET.
