Silvia Dalla

I am a Professor of Solar Physics, studying how particles are accelerated during solar flares and Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), escape the solar atmosphere and propagate through space to reach the Earth. I research this problem by means of data analysis and modelling. More details are in the Research section.

I joined the University of Central Lancashire in 2007, having held post-doctoral research appointments at Imperial College London and the University of Manchester. I am originally from Italy, where I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Milan.
