UCLan Physics & Astrophysics recognised for outstanding academic support as it is ranked the top physics department in the UK in the National Student Survey (NSS) and celebrates the results of the NSS.
The NSS survey of graduating students may have undergone a revamp, but the outcome for our Physics and Astrophysics courses once again shows UCLan’s commitment to teaching and learning. Our graduating students have yet again indicated how highly they have valued their course.
Across 47 UK Physics departments with published NSS results, UCLan Physics & Astrophysics were:
• 1st in the UK for Academic Support with a 100% rating
• 2st in the UK for Assessment and Feedback
• 2nd in the UK for Learning Opportunities
• 4th in the UK for Teaching on the Course
Ranked 6th for Overall Positivity of all UK Physics departments in the survey shows UCLan’s commitment to getting the best out of their students.
Course Leader Dr Paul Freeman says “We are extremely pleased that we have been able to deliver for our students. This has been due to the dedicated work of every member of Course Team but of course we are always looking for ways to improve further. But for now, a cake to celebrate, before we start the work for the new academic year and welcoming both our new and returning students.”
