Dr Mark Norris, our Senior Lecturer in Astronomy and Astrophysics, was invited on to the famous BBC Breakfast red sofa to answer questions on the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, which made its closest approach to Earth on December 19th.
This comet has provided a large number of national media opportunities for Mark, and his colleague Dr Megan Argo, over December. Their expert comments have appeared 140 times in print, online and broadcast media, reaching a global audience of more than 1.4 billion people.
